The unexamined life is not worth living.

– Socrates

We are a married couple in our 20s that set off for a new beginning in the big city way back in the summer of 2006. We live in East Boston, an eclectic neighborhood comprised of old-world Italian immigrants, Spanish-speaking Central and South Americans, and younger professionals.  We are digging in, putting down roots, and learning tons.  And loving every minute of it.

This blog is about examining life from a distinctly spiritual perspective. But the examined spiritual life isn’t all pie-in-the-sky — it’s earthy, and includes the garden, city life, food, fun, friends, and travel.

Our faith is a journey, and we certainly don’t have everything figured out. Because we have traded the dualism (sacred vs secular) for the reality that spirituality permeates every part of our lives, we can’t help but reflect honestly on the things we see going on around us and in the world. This blog, written primarily by Steve, is intended to be a medium through which we reflect on and dialogue about the adventure of seeking God.

Wherever you are on that path, your voice is welcome here.
